Try making chicken soup base with tomato juice or V8 if your prefer bit spicy. I make sorta of veg soup instead putting in traditional chicken and noodle.

Hi Chana! For things like your sourdough starter and some stuff in the pantry, would you be able to keep them at your parents’ house during passover so you have more space? Or is that an even bigger project and add more to the to do list?

I was adopted into a half Jewish half Christian family but have always been drawn to Judaism. I always considered myself half Jewish. When I was about 18 that’s when I made the decision to start my conversion. I met an amazing Jewish boy I want a future with but now the orthodox community don’t accept conversions when you have a partner. But I’m not interested in doing a non orthodox conversion as I want to make sure that my children can feel confident and say they are full Jewish and not have to go through without the foundation of Torah.

If at the time of your reform conversion Mikvah , if it had been witnessed by the rabbi(s) and the proper number of attendants, under orthodox “ tradition “ would your conversion have been recognized as a proper conversion , or were there other “ differences “ in the conversion process that prevented the orthodox. Question , can all “ born” Jews read / speak Hebrew? Just curious. Is learning Hebrew a requirement before bat/bar mitvah?

I suspect that if you would have been in a relationship with an Orthodox Jew with the intent of marriage upon your conversion “grilling” with the big deal rabbi would have gone very differently. Of course , this does not matter now , but in listening to your story I could not keep these thoughts from my mind.

We did something similar at my seder 2 years ago, and for lice we did plastic shower caps and had everyone wear them as if they had lice. Lice is SUPER hard to conceptualize in a "Plague Bag." We also did "Eat the 10 Plagues" another year, and for lice I did black sprinkles/jimmies.

Chana I wish I had half of your energy, dedication, faith and all around positive personality. I tend to think the worst and be very hard on myself if I don’t get all the things done perfectly. Since I’ve been watching I tell myself “that’s ok” just like you do! I’m not of the Jewish faith but may Hashem bless and keep you and your family.

Thank you so much for this video. I remember how my grandmother and my mother were turning down the entire house to clean every little corner, everywhere, even where hametz never went to! They always started like two or three weeks before Pessah. It is a lot of work. I did the same as my mother in my House and I needed three days to recuperate! Looool. I see you have worked so much. I don't know if you're checking this during Chol Hamoed but I wanted to let you know about a cool thing that happened Monday night. I told you that my grandson was with his Dad and I thought that he wouldn't be home for Pesach. Omgosh! He came home during the Seder!!!! He dropped his stuff in his room, joined us, apologized for being late and participated! It was so awesome to have him here. He said he told his Dad that he needed to be home for Pesach and would be back to work after next week! I hope you and your family are enjoying the holiday. P.S. the bag o'plagues was a huge success! My granddaughter loved it and she sat through the entire Seder listening and asking questions throughout! Thank you again for the great idea!

i love the plague bags, we did some ransom bags for the afikoman for the kids, my MILove started doing that because the kids love hunting it so much. we ran out of time to get the plague bags together but are going to do that next year and i loved the back scratcher, a thought on the water to blood is food coloring that you can put into water or those tablets you can get to dye eggs to turn the water red. we don't dye eggs but i would think it might be fun to just get a small bowl they could put the water in and do that with as well. i've also see the jello cups which I think is cool. Do you have a recipe for rolls for during passover?

I have been trying to live my life as a person who believes In Judaism but its hard to always follow the tradition. And do you have any tips for dressing modest in a school uniform?
